Qlik
Qlik (pronounced "click") Sense is a web-based data analytics platform, hosted by the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. It allows users to interact with data through visualizations, filterable reports, and other formats.
Institutional data will be made Curated institutional data is available through the SMPH Qlik platform, including data from campus, UWHealth, and additional SMPH-specific data sources. This will include includes HR, financial, facilities, and educational data. Research data willis, at this time, be limited to research administration or fully de-identified data.
Dashboards and reports will be are created in Qlik Sense by SMPH IT, as well as by developers from other units within SMPH, giving groups the freedom to build to their own needs and specifications with a combination of their own data alongside centrally curated data.

The core data to be used in Qlik enterprise reporting will be stored in files called QVDs. A QVD (QlikView Data) file is a file containing a table of data exported from Qlik Sense. QVD is a native Qlik format and can only be written to and read by Qlik Sense. See Qlik Data Overview.docx for more information on just how this works. |

You should have access to the Finance QVDs by using the FIN_QVDs folder found in the right-hand side Connections panel in the data load editor. At this time, the data is coming directly from the SFMRT (WISDM) warehouse. If you have worked with the SFMRT data in the past the current QVDs are a direct match for what you would normally see in the database. For more detailed information please see the SFS documentation. |
